Setting Up Your Account: The DJ Account

You no longer have to wait till the next event for an opportunity to share your mix with your fans. Our DJ feature now allows you to create playlists on the platform and share them with the world. Having a good day? Create a playlist! Having a not so good day? Create a playlist!

At Epoh Music, we strongly believe in the reward for creativity and the passion that drives it. And that is why this feature is not only inspired by our love for music but also the desire to see you grow in your career as DJ.

Well, everyone can create playlists on the platform. But with a DJ account you can make your playlist public or private. Your public playlist will be available for people to enjoy. Your DJ profile will show in the DJ section and people can click on your profile to listen to your playlists. 

Opening the DJ account is totally free, and there is no third party or agent involved in the registeration.

Setting Up Your Account 

Step 1: Register

Click here to register - Account Registration

For the account type select the DJ account. Make sure your details are correct before submitting. 

Step 2: Activate your account 

You will get a mail from the Epoh team after registering. Check your mail and click on ‘activate your account’. When you click, you’ll be redirected to your account page on the platform. You cannot use your account without activating it from your mail. 

Step 3: Set up your profile 

You can edit your name, upload your profile picture, and write a little about your self. Just go to profile under Settings. You can also change to your preferred theme, Light theme or Dark theme, also in Settings. 

Step 4: Create 

The account setup ended at step 3. Yes, it’s that simple. You can now create your playlist and start sharing with the world.

If you use an android phone you can download the app from Google Playstore. If you use an iPhone, just add it to your homescreen from your browser. It works just like the app.

Update, Update, Update!  Yes we are all about that, and I am so exited to tell you about our new features. Especially since we have been working on them for a while now. Guess what, you’re going to love them. 

DJ Feature

Wait, before you ask ‘How does this concern me?’ Actually, it is for everyone. Yes, you and your favorite DJs. 

DJs can now signup as a DJ on the platform and create a playlist. This playlist will be public and available for everyone to view and stream. It’s just like creating a mixtape, with all the resources they need being on the platform. The playlist carries their name, they get all the credit. 

Users can stream their favorite DJ on the platform. You don’t have to jump from one Artist page to another or from one Album page to another. It’s all there in one playlist. How about you start tagging your favorite DJs to signup and create their playlist now?

Kebab Menu

I know you’re wondering what this means. It’s as interesting as it sounds. On the album cover, there are three dotted lines that indicate the Kebab menu. This menu  gives you the option to share the album or go to the artist. That way you can see other albums of that artist without having to sort through the long pages of the Artists search result. These two options have always been available on the platform. But previously, you would have to open the album to do that. This helps you save more time, you can move to another album without having to open one and go back. 

Song Queuing 

This can also be referred to as the Play next option. You know how when you are exploring songs on the platform, and come across a song to really want to listen to, and you don’t want to stop in the middle of the one you’re listening to at the moment. And to top it, you want to continue exploring the platform. Well you can have it all now. With the song queuing feature, you can select songs you want to listen to next and add them to queue. It’s like an on-the-go playlist. 

Artist Page Interface

This is an upgrade that only affects the artist account because it is already existing on the regular user account. It is about the arrangement of items on the Artist’s account home page. For each song category on the homepage, you can now scroll sideways to seen more options. The former way was to scroll down. It made the categories a bit far from the next because of the role of items between them. Now the categories are lined after the other. And you can reach your preferred category faster. It also makes the homepage look less bulky. Like I said, you’re going to love it.
