Asake reportedly exits Olamide's record label, YBNL

Asake leaves YBNL

Award-winning Nigerian artist Asake has reportedly ended his contract with the YBNL record label, sparking widespread discussions online.

The news of the split surfaced hours after speculation about a potential rift between Asake and YBNL founder, Olamide.

However, Olamide addressed the rumors, emphasizing there was no bad blood.

“I didn’t create YBNL to make money. I created it to see young people grow. If any artist under me wants to leave, they are free. Asake has done his part, and I’m proud of him,” the music icon reportedly shared.

Asake’s departure has left fans buzzing, with many praising the mutual respect between the two stars.

One fan wrote, “Asake & Olamide will be fine. It’s all about business, not do-or-die. Olamide helped Asake to a certain stage, and Asake has elevated himself with international recognition. He will never fall—only go higher.”
